He will pick something and stick to it until the very end no matter how morally incorrect it may seem to any other human being. He will not hesitate to violently and brutally beat down anyone who disagrees with him directly. A little slice of emotionless douche, he is not averse to simply cutting all ties to another person if they jeopardized his way of life. As a result, the word 'friend' is rarely ever spoken by Aedan (when it is, he is actually referring to 'comrade').
He is also- with lack of a better word- obsessed with his own idea of dealing 'justice'. He is extremely dissatisfied with the current law-enforcement system and more than often decides to take crime to his own hands, covertly hiding his identity to approach criminal organizations alone. Like a classic comic book antihero, Aedan lacks all heroic attributes and only 'helps' people only when he feels like it. Though he is kind and caring in his own unique way, more than often he would go out of his way to help others-- albeit indirectly.
Aedan's personality reflects upon his rather aloof appearance, he comes off as cold, distant, and apathetic to the hardships of others. He does not speak unless spoken to, and it's hard to tell whether he's actually listening or not (usually, he isn't). He refers to everyone as annoyingly loud and brash. When Aedan does speak however, be prepared. Don't bother talking or even asking Aedan for advice unless you want the cold hard truths and facts (no matter how painful it may be to you). Aedan does not sugarcoat, because that is a waste of time and oxygen.
Aedan does not possess a volcano of a temper, he is a very level-headed and cool individual. However, being an obstinate egoist, he will not hesitate to resort to brutal physical violence because of clashing ideals. As a result, many misinterpret him as a hot-headed delinquent and tend to avoid him as much as possible. Something that he appreciates.
Despite not claiming to have any particular like or dislike, Aedan hides a penchant for sweets and usually carries quite a few small hard candies with him just in case. He cannot be bribed with money, but something different can be said about cake and other excessively sweet desserts. His sweet tooth is one of the few things he cannot control. Next to sweet things, Aedan's next favorite food is anything with tuna, tuna in particular because nothing else 'tastes right'. As for his preferred drink, Aedan likes traditional Japanese tea and your standard manly alcoholic drinks.[/style]

[classy=box2]♠ HISTORY[/classy][STYLE=font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; color: 292929;]Having children was on the big to-do list for Aedan's parents, they wanted one child for a nice quaint family and that's exactly what they made for themselves. First came Aedan, he was brought into this world after 12 hours of labor (his mother never stopped going on about it) and he, like every first-child, was the subject of his parents love and affection 24/7. Aedan grew up like any other child, his parents took extra care into teaching him about culture and manners. They sent him to school like every other set of parents would and educated him as much as they could. In all aspects, Aedan had a very privileged upbringing, so where did all of this go wrong?
To put it simply, he got bored.
Unlike all the other 'average' children, Aedan had the habit of being very aloof and stubborn. He disliked being bound to anything, and that included everyday routine. Everything to him was just black and white. It was just so… mundane, so boring, uninteresting, and utterly stupid. Of course he loved his parents, and appreciated that they went out of their way to bring him up. But as he grew older, so did his impatience.
The everyday routine has turned his life monotone, he felt as if there was simply no more meaning to it. Everyday Aedan would wake up, have breakfast, watch the news and see the police fail yet again to prevent street crime and death, he would read the paper and find another teenager had died of overdose, then walk to school, attend it, walk back… the list went on. Everything he did one day was almost identical to what he had done in the last. He hated it.
Aedan wasn't exactly the friendly type, he could not simply hang out with friends and have a little something new in his daily life, if anything he enjoyed having some alone time to simply sleep and pass the hours in a day. Rather quickly, he turned to pokémon battling, showing affection and love for pokémon and pokémon alone. His attention towards battling and training led him to become a seasoned trainer, ready to take on the many gyms and challenges ahead. It provided his life with a splash of color it so sorely lacked before, and Aedan loved it.
Battling and battling, time and time again fighting, it's no surprise that he soon paved his own way to the pokémon league. Aedan lost, of course, to the esteemed champion of the region-- but that did not matter. For now, now he had a place within the elite four. Life isn't boring or mundane anymore. No longer black and white.[/style]
[classy=box2]♠ RP SAMPLE[/classy][STYLE=font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; color: 292929;]Crystal clear waters, fine white sand that gleams in the sun, warm to the touch and silky at the same time. The occasional breeze that ruffles your hair and clothes. The sound of waves crashing onto land and retreating into the ocean. Reiji could find a million things he loved about the beach during the morning. He adored everything, from the sound of receding waves to the smell of the ocean itself. Somehow it all seemed… soothing. Reiji smiled at the thought. He always enjoyed a morning walk on the beach, the way his flip-flops left shallow imprints in the sand. They were like little segments of memories, treasures that are created, then buried. To Reiji, the sand on beaches meant more than sea shells and homes to fiddler crabs. The beach itself is like a vast memory bank, filled with the emotions of all who walked on it.
'A seagull cries with wings that fiercely beat. Above the clear blue sea and shining sand. A voice that shouts and sings to summer's heat. In paradise, this golden stretch of land.'
Reiji sighed, so much for sentimental reflections on environment. The Raiju inside him sure knows how to ruin a moment. "That was a poem." Reiji stated, continuing his morning beach-stroll. Both his hands were stuffed in pant pockets as his shirt moved accordingly to the passing breeze.
'Not just any poem! It was the first stanza for a Shakespearean Sonnet, Reiji! Four out of the fourteen beautiful lines of perfect literature.'
Reiji mentally facepalmed, just recently his Raiju had taken a shine to poetry. Shakespearean Poetry to be exact, and it annoyed the teen so much to have to listen to the idiot ramble on and on about his improvised sonnets and how important poetry was to modern culture. Quite frankly, he liked the beast's 'philosophy phase' better. Yawning lightly, Reiji tossed both hands into the air for a nice big stretch, ignoring the fact that the burn scars on his arms were now completely obvious under sunlight.
He had stopped walking along the shoreline a while ago and decided instead to stare at the vast expanse of ocean. Thought facially emotionless Reiji could not help but feel slightly happier when looking at the clear waters. Slowly, he began taking several steps into the water, stopping when the liquid reached his knees.
'You know I just had a thought. People tend to come to the beach starting at around this time Reiji. Hypothetically speaking, shouldn't we be hauling ass by now to prevent crowds of screaming children from stepping over your <<bank of beautiful memories>>?'
Reiji growled at the Raiju's sarcasm, especially at the 'bank of beautiful memories' part. He made the thing sound like a destination for Dora the Explorer or My Little Pony. Gross. Though he couldn't help but agree with the beast. Parents tend to start bringing their children in at this time of day, and Reiji did not want to be annoyed by crying infants and squealing kids. Not now anyways
