It felt right. The pokeballs hanging from her belt, the little blue bird pokemon flying about her head or perched on her shoulder. Sometimes the swablu cuddled in onto her head and sat there. Rain smiled at the little pokemon. She hadn't put her back in her pokeball since she'd gotten her the night before. Rain didn't mind, and neither did Swablu.
"You're my pokemon now, Swablu," Rain told the pokemon, giving it a piece of pokemon food. "I'll take care of you for sure."
The two of them walked through Route 1, looking for nothing in particular. Rain knew she needed more pokemon for her team, but she also wanted to make Swablu stronger too. Her main interest was reaching Accumula Town. Everything else would come with it. Even though she had Swablu, she was kind of lonely too. Someone - a person - to talk to would make things pass by more quickly.

The day was going right. He received his Pokemon, a teddiursa, named Ursula just hours ago. She hasn't proven to be much trouble, just a little ball of fun. They played, forcefully, a game of hide 'n seek for a while. When he found her, she was sleeping in a tree and somehow found herself some honey. This little bundle of joy was his future here, and hopefully make their life in this new region enjoyable. He knew that he be perfectly with it just being the two of them, but Ursula might like some companionship along their new journey.
As they walked down the route, they saw a couple birds and bugs, but none cared enough to bother them. However, they did see in the distance a little blue bird, flying around a girl with long blue hair. Interesting, must be another trainer. Maybe she got her Pokemon from the professor today also. Kusan didn't really care about going up to meet the girl, but Ursula did. She started running as fast as she could, her sticky little hands dropping honey along the way. Kusan sighed and started chasing after his Pokemon, but he couldn't help but having a small smile on his face.
"Ursula! Ursula! Come back!" However, she seemed to have some speedy feet for being so small, and didn't stop until she reached up to the Pokemon and the trainer. Kusan ended up catching up to them just a few seconds later. "Ursula, it not nice to just run off like that." He sighed and looked at the girl. "Sorry if we bothered you. Ursula here is just a curious little thing. My apologies."

Rain heard fast moving footsteps behind her, nearly at the same time Swablu seemed to spin around and flap its wings. Someone shouted, seeming to have been chasing after something, and Rain could see a small bear-like pokemon. Swablu dropped from Rain's shoulder onto the ground lightly, and flapped its cottony wings at the oncoming teddiursa, chirruping as it did. Rain just smiled at the little pokemon, then looked back up to see a young man running toward her. She guessed the teddiursa had run from him probably, but she didn't look fearful or anything.
"Calm down, Swablu," she laughed, patting the little blue bird. It chirruped once more and hopped to Rain's side as she knelt down to the teddiursa. "Well hello there," she said to the pokemon, "looks like you might be in a bit of trouble, hm?" she added, looking up at the teddiursa's trainer. Or maybe he wasn't a trainer? It didn't matter too much; the teddiursa was still obviously his.
"That's all right," Rain responded as she stood back up. Swablu watched the other pokemon cautiously. "It's no problem at all. Hey, are you heading to Accumula Town? Maybe we could go together? It's getting kind of lonely out here, even with Swablu.."

Kusan was looking at his pokemon, the little bear that just ran away from him. His little Ursula was now hiding behind his leg, peeking out at the swablu. He could tell his teddiursa wanted to meet the new pokemon, but was scared. However, with a little nudge of his foot he got her moving and slowly walking to the swablu. A little smile crossed across his face as he saw what was happening. He was watching them until he heard the girl ask him a question. Acumula Town. That seems like the next place to go to. This could be fun.
Kusan thought a little more before speaking. “I’ll go with you to the next town. It be nice to make a new friend in this foreign region.” He looked at the girl and noticed some pokeballs hanging off of her belt. The blue bird in his opinion looked great for coordination, but her attitude seemed different. “Are you a trainer, or are you under a different occupation?” He didn’t care one way or another what her occupation, unless she was a Plasma member. Ignorant people stealing pokemon, no wonder people are trying to liberate plasma of pokemon.

Rain stood up again as the teddiursa ran behind her owner's leg. She smiled at the little pokemon. It couldn't have been too old. It was either shy or just the shyness that usually came with still being too young to really know much. Swablu didn't show it too much. She chirped at the other pokemon, unmoving, but looking between it and Rain now and then. Swablu wasn't as hostile now, and hopped toward the teddiursa, chirping at it more cheerily now.
Rain's attention returned to the other person and she smiled at him. "Good then. You're not from around here? What region are you from?" she asked. She had never been out of Unova, and if she was going to be a trainer she might want to know about the other regions as well. There would, of course, be a time when she would beat all there was to beat in this region, and she might move on to others as many did.
"Yeah, I'm just a trainer is all," she responded with a half smile. Trainers were so common she guessed. Even though coordination was something that she was a bit interested in, training was what she really felt like she was born to do. "What about yourself?" she added. "My name is Rain by the way! It's nice to meet you." she offered her hand to the man to shake.
