Perfect just freaking perfect. Already Kouichi was feeling annoyed by the fact that the Ranger Union is allowing him to capture any Pokemon with his capture styler to capture a flying type Pokemon to fly him back home to his city with his new starter Pokemon so now he has to go to route to route to figure out away to get home. He might as well call this his first time being a Ranger now that they are making him start from square one! Kouichi had his hands behind his head as he looked down to his partner Rufflet who he named Shou following by his side. The bird was flapping it's wings a bit as if it was trying to learn how to fly. Kouichi was giggling whenever he saw Shou fall over so he would have to stop to pick him back up on it's talons. Kouichi looked at the bird for a bit as he watched the bird shake off the dust from it's feathers.
"You know what little guy, your not half bad." Kouichi said to the bird before standing back up with his hands on his hips. Shou had looked up to him as he watched Kouichi look around. "Whatever the reason is for the Ranger Union to do this, I wouldn't mind. Maybe it's pre-pairing me to fight up against Team Plasma and raise strong Pokemon. You seem to be a brave type Pokemon and I knew I picked the right Pokemon for the start. You remind me of myself actually." Kouichi had watched the bird lift up it's wings as if the bird agreed to what he was saying. Kouichi smiled before picking the bird up, placing the bird on his shoulder. "Alright Shou, I'll make sure to make you a strong Pokemon. I'll put my Ranger skills to the test alright? Now if only I remembered everything back in the Ranger school."
Already he felt as if he was screwing up and might understand another reason the Ranger Union is doing this. One reason is to test out his skills of course and the second one, he barely remembers anything from the Ranger school. It was a pain in the neck and he slept threw most of it. He shrugged as he noticed the bird had looked worried as well when he mentioned remembering everything from the Ranger Union earlier. He petted the bird on the head slightly before sighing. "Don't worry about it, I'll remember. Let's see, what to do, well for starters we can always do some training. You don't have to prove to me you are strong you know. Just show me what you got so that we can work on it. It's not like I'm going to drop you for being a bad Pokemon I mean, why would I be called a Pokemon Ranger for nothing?"
He doesn't know if the Pokemon understood what he was saying but once he mentioned battle, Shou had jumped in front of him before flapping it's wings as if it was excited about battling. "Oh so you want that? I don't want to even bother asking someone to battle when we haven't even trained yet so no trainers yet. We might just need to wait for a wild Pokemon to appear for practice or maybe we can just practice here without fighting Pokemon." Kouichi was talking to himself again as he put his hand on his chin as he thought about what to do. This was really annoying him right now and it sucks![/style]

speaking of which, the pink - haired gym leader's absol was walking beside him, keeping a watchful eye out. he could always count on his dad's pokemon to keep him safe. that was part of the reason he had gotten the 'disaster' pokemon to begin with - his father knew it would keep him safe. renly let his hand gently touch absol's head as they walked, a smile on his face. " after a bit longer, absol, we can prolly get dad to come and visit. you'd like that, huh? it's been a few years since you two have seen each other, " he said with a smile. absol looked up at renly and lightly nuzzled his hand. though absol was technically renly's, the pinkette knew the pokemon's heart still lay with his father.
renly and absol continued to walk down the road in silence. he really hated not having anyone to talk to, but who was really going to go with him? it wasn't like he'd made many close friends yet. sure, he had one or two, but they usually went off adventuring soon after they meet. that was the bad thing about being a gym leader . . . you typically got tied down in one city. he liked being able to leave at times, though. it was nice to get a break every once in a while. the pinkette yawned. " mmm i think we might almost be there, absol~ i hope, at least, " he said with a slight pout. he really wanted to be able to talk to someone, at least. he tried to imagine absol talking back . . . he doubted the pokemon would say much, even if he could.
the male walked only a few more feet before he heard a voice of another male. absol growled slightly and stepped in front of renly, protectively. " absol, calm down, okay? not everyone is a -- absol! " he had tried to calm the pokemon down, but it was no use. absol jumped in front of the trainer and his pokemon and growled. renly sighed and followed after him. " don't be scared! he won't hurt you, as long as you're not team plasma! " he told the person, rushing to absol to try to calm him down.

Kouichi had put his hands on his hips as he looked down at the bird creature, noticing that it was scrapping it's talons into the dirt. The bird must want to battle but he doesn't even know where to start off. What type of Ranger is he if he doesn't know where to start? Maybe it is a good thing he started over. He hates admitting it but it must be true. He giggled as he watched Shou run around in circles and was trying to flap it's wings again. It either wants to battle or learn how to fly. Learning how to fly is going to be a pain to teach so he would rather stick with battling.
"Alright little guy, maybe I should teach you the basics of being a Ranger and how we work together." Shou turned around after it stopped running around in circles. It looked up at Kouichi as if it was listening to it's trainer. "As a Pokemon Ranger, we care for Pokemon that are in trouble and also take down evil organizations like Team Plasma so I guess you can say we are more like police officers." Kouichi was in his talk about Rangers again and Shou was just looking at him as if he was a idiot. Once the bird had turned around, it had fell over once the Absol had appeared out of no where! Kouichi had finally stopped talking once he realized the Absol was growling at them. Shou was already up on it's Talons with it's wings out as if it was ready to battle but Kouichi can already tell this Pokemon looks tough.
"Hold on a second Shou, its probably confused or thinks we are an enemy or something." When Pokemon act like this, Rangers have to find away to reason with the Pokemon so this was Kouichi time to show off his skills. Before he could even get the chance to do anything, the trainer of the Absol was already appearing to calm down it's Absol. Kouichi looked at the trainer for a bit before back at the Absol but once he had mentioned Team Plasma, Kouichi felt like growling but he kept it in. The professor even thought he was part of Plasma and now this Absol thinks we are. Kouichi shook his head at the trainer before nodding.
"It's alright, Pokemon have been scared because of Team Plasma and other trainers. I'm a Pokemon Ranger actually and I have a badge to prove it. Your Absol seems to be very strong by the way." It's good to make a good compliment right and to also tell them right away what class you are? Kouichi bent down to pick up Shou as he placed him on his shoulder. "I told you there is nothing to worry about so you can calm down."[/style]

though the horn was sharp, renly used the flat end to successfully make the pokemon face away from the bird - type. he cursed under his breath. " absol, you can't always just attack people when you see them. some people are actually friends, " he said to absol in a harsh whisper. the pinkette let out a sigh and hugged absol quickly, feeling bad for being harsh. " sorry, but you need to learn some self - control. gotta give people a cha~nce before attacking them, okay? " he told the pokemon, who nodded solemnly. renly wondered if absol ever was going to show any emotion to him, but doubted it. he'd always been this way.
he stood up straight and faced the other person when they started talking. " a ranger, eh? no need to get out the badge, i believe you~ besides, it'd be a stupid lie to tell, " |
[/b] he said with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. he'd never heard of a person telling a lie about being a ranger; it was so easy to expose the lie. usually people would just say they were a traveling trainer, if anything. he took that as a sign that he could trust this person, even if only a little. he laughed lightly when the other said that absol looked strong; flattery wouldn't get this kid anywhere. renly always let people think that it would, though. he just hated when people kissed butt. in any case, renly found the little pokemon adorable when the ranger put it on his shoulder. he let out a soft giggle as he gently petted absol. " yeah, and absol can be a bully sometimes, but he's really harmless~ " he told the pokemon. " oh, right! my name's renly. renly noble. i'm the gym leader for the striaton city gym~ " he said, finally introducing himself. he felt weird when a person didn't know who he was. he bit his lip, trying to think of what to say next. " so, you're new with this pokemon, hm?
